The Minstrels of Mayhem
Jerry Barry ©1993

How many men do you think my friend, have passed this way before.
And how many brave young sailors, lie upon the ocean floor.
Countless sons of England, who are not afraid to die,
Searching for the place where, the ocean meets the sky.

Kiss me mother for me, and kiss my colleen twice.
I’ll surely repay the debt I owe, if I make it back alive.
His bloody Majesty’s navy, has carefully chosen me,
To see if I can find the place, where the twilight meets the sea.

When we get back home again, We’ll see our long lost friends.
We’ll get the highest honor, that his Majesty can send.
Unless the Lord looks down on us, in penance for our sins,
We’ll sail free past the end of the sea, to where the sky begins.

Kiss me mother for me, and kiss my colleen twice.
I’ll surely repay the debt I owe, if I make it back alive.

Unless the Lord looks down on us, in penance for our sins,
We’ll sail free past the end of the sea, to where the sky begins.
We’ll sail free past the end of the sea, to where the sky begins.
